Team Training - ideas

At team training this month I concentrated on using fabric.

I love using fabric and I wanted to explore an idea we had seen at convention and use it in card making.

To start with I cut the fabric, card stock and multi-purpose adhesive sheets to the required size.

( A little side note about the multi-purpose sheets - they come in a pack of 12 sheets of 12 x 12 (30.5cm x 30.5cm ) size so there plenty of projects that you can use them with and they are only £13.50 so that's just over £1 a sheet. Alternatively you can use Fabric adhesive roll at £13.50  which is 29.4cm by 182.8cm)

Tip of the day!! Take one side of the backing sheet off and put the card stock on FIRST! Then flip over, remove the other backing sheet and put the fabric on and smooth out any wrinkles - no need to iron before.

Then you can do what you like!! Let your imagination run.....

I made some boxes using the Fancy Favour die - I will share some other cute boxes in the next few days.
The one here is using embossing the fabric/card with the Square lattice embossing folder - this makes the card quite flexible and almost soft and amazing texture!!

I then cut another box and made an extra bottom.

To construct it I used the fabric/card part upside down and folded what would normally be the bottom over as flaps and attached my FAVOURITE antique brads to the edges. Then I made up the extra bottom and popped it into the bottom of the box. ( I hope that made sense and the image is below)
Then I just stamped an image and popped it on the front.
OK confession time....I can't lie to you!! This box started off with a different plan but I cut the fabric/card bit upside down!!! All the little heads were the wrong way up!! - Confession time again I did this whilst chatting to my lovely SU sister, Elaine and I was so engrossed in chatting that I just wasn't paying attention!! So the rescue plan was hatched and I love the result!!
More box ideas and fabric ideas in the next few days!!

Happy New Year!!!

Yes I know its the 6th but I sort of fell off the planet with the flu and family issues over Christmas and New Year and haven't had the energy even to craft!!! I know!! You can see how bad I felt if I couldn't even make anything!! But I have done a lot of pinning on Pinterest so hopefully projects will start flowing soon.
Today I decided I needed a new brooch on my coat to cheer me up and so I got some of the lovely SU fabric scraps and some retired brads and gorgeous ruffled ribbon and this is the result!! I'm quite pleased with it and might make another.
If you want to make one why not book a slot at my next card club - dates to be finalised this week.

I thought I would make a simple 12 x 12 page with products from the new Autumn Winter catalogue.

This page is made using the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' set.

This set is fabulous and you can use it for scrapping, making quick and easy cards and other Christmas projects. There is SOOOO much in it!! As you can see from previous posts, I used it to make the Christmas ornament too.

I know we all like to be prepared for Christmas and now I am ready with the first page of my Christmas photos this year!! How is that for organisation?!! Now all I need to do is finish the cards, make some gifts, bake some cookies etc etc...but luckily most of my presents will come out of the NEW catalogue due to be launched October 1st. Drop me an email with your address and I will pop one in the post asap so you can be one of the first to have one and enjoy 205 pages of crafty loveliness.

Well after making my first decoration (see previous blog post) using the Ornament Keepsakes bundle (£38.95 clear mount- includes both stamps and Framelits giving a 15% discount) I decided to try omitting the stamping and just using DSP. I used paper from the fabulous Merry Moments Simply Scrappin kit (£18.95) I LOVE this kit, it's perfect for not only scrapping but also quick cards and other Christmas projects.
Anyway here are the finished decorations...what do you think?....

More Christmas projects using the Ornament Keepsakes bundle

I thought I would share the card I made for today's First Level fun day Shoe Box swap.
I really love this stamp set and framelits and I made this card using the Holiday Frame impressions embossing folder too.
In case you wondered the bundle is on page 3 of the Autumn Winter catalogue and the embossing folder on page 7. You can find a link on the right hand side of my blog....
In the photos you will see both the front and inside of the card and of course I stamped the envelope too.
I hope you like it.

Autumn Winter loveliness....

Many of you have seen and loved the decoration on the front cover of our new Autumn Winter catalogue. I have been itching to make it so when the new product bundle arrived I locked myself away in my room and got to work. What do you think? Isn't it lively? The bundle can be ordered from the catalogue and its fun to make. I'm doing a class soon so you can make one alongside me.
I'm off today for a day of Stamping and I'll share with you in the next few days what we got up to!!!
Happy Stamping.....
