French Foliage

Today I am sharing with you the card we made at my workshops this month. It was a very simple and fun card using the In Colours and the new French Foliage stamp set. This stamp set is so versatile - look at the "splodge" stamp! Inspired by a card I made with Amanda last month.

Workshops are great fun and a chance to gather some friends around to see a demo and make a card to take home with them. You will get all the hostess benefits from having the class - yes that means FREE products!! Just let me know and we can arrange a date.

SWAP time!!!!!!

Quarterly training is SO much fun and so inspiring and I am very lucky to be part of Amandas fabulous team. In fact if any one joins my team they too are welcome at Amandas training too!! It is a day full of planning, trying new ideas and meeting up with new and old crafty friends. And of course SWAPS!!!!!!!

This time there were 35 of us together so I decided to do something quick and easy as I had had a really busy week. This is what I made.....I used the Flower Daises die and Brights.

Owl punchmania

Now you may know that I LOVE the new owl punch and so the first card I am sharing from this months card club is the owl card!! Enjoy.......
Oh and I have learnt to time my posts so over the next few days I will be sharing some of the other projects we made and some photos of our quarterly training.

So here is the first card......isnt he cute and despite what you may think he is really quite fast to make. There are a number of punches used but it just shows how versatile they are. He was inspired from a 3D card by Jenny Moore and some other samples I had seen on blogland.
We used the Owl punch, the Boho Blossoms, Modern Label extra large, the leaves from the Two Step Bird punch and Word Window large with the Top Note die and Vintage Wallpaper embossing template.
Ah he is so darn cute......

Some catching up.......

It was my Dad's 80th birthday last week and I made the invitations with the new Sail Away stamp from the Mini catalogue. Its a fabulous stamp and I had so much fun that I decided to make a present for my Dad with it and make a box for it to be wrapped in too! Both the present and the box are loosely based on the invitations - ( sorry forgot to take a photo of the invite. ) I hope you like them......

Im back!!! So sorry I have been away so long!

Oh dear I have been gone so long. I have thought of my little blog and have been coming up with some fabulous ideas, been shown some amazing things I wanted to share etc etc but no I just couldnt seem to juggle enough space in my day to pop in and say it all!!!

So without any more flaffing here are some cards - as thats what we are really here for isnt it?!!!

Firstly I thought that I would show you a couple of cards from my card club last week. We used quite a few punches and had great fun. (Oh and apologies for the odd dog hair that might appear in the photos as the dog was chasing a bee around the lounge at the time I was taking photos and I am actually surprised the cards werent trampled in the process!! In a small house of three children, one mad dog, a neurotic cat and three fluffy chickens it could have been so much worse!! - need to mention there that the chickens dont actually live IN the house!!  )

Just Believe stamp set and scallop punches and the fabulous twill ribbon! Love it - all on Crumb Cake card.
5 Petal and Boho Blossoms punches with In Colour card and Designer Paper. Very simple, very adaptable and very easy!!

Butterfly Prints and Cottage Garden Stamp set and the Butterfly punch with a little "Rock and Roll" of the stamp to get that fabulous two tone effect on the butterfly.

This week I am preparing (and so is my lovely friend Gail) for our Ladies Crafty Night Out!! Its this Friday in at St Barnabas church. We will be making 10 cards and a bag. I am hoping it will be a fun night I just have to get there and we have a lot of cards to prep for!! I will show you photos next week!! I promise!!

Here are a couple of photos of our recent regional training and some of the new products on display.

The launch of the BIG SHOT!!! Cant wait to show you projects using all the great dies and embossing pads!

March Frenzy!!

To beat those winter blues Stampin' Up! are having a March Frenzy and you can save up to 30%!!

Let me know if you would like to place an order or better still book a workshop, invite some friends over and enjoy the hostess benefits too!

Tri Fold - I am getting quite addicted!!

Well it all started with my son turning 16 and his birthday gathering (dont think they can call it a party anymore!!) and sleepover. I had a whole evening on my own in the lounge with my craft supplies so decided to try out the Tri fold album I had seen in many places on the internet. It turned out really well and so I made some tri fold cards too.

At our fabulous Regional conference on Saturday I spotted another tri fold sample so had to take a photos to share with you too. Here is a little collage of my cards and the adorable stamped one which was also half the size of a standard cards, so adorable.

New classes and clubs

Hello

I have updated club details and Saturday workshops. Just pop over to those pages to check out all the details.

I promise to pop some photos of some new card ideas soon but I am having a few camera technical problems!!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Hobbycrafts show at Brighton. I caught up with old friends and met some new wonderful customers. We ran make and takes throughout the weekend and saw some fabulous adaptations of the design we demoed.

I am very excited about our regional training next week and the sneak preview of new products coming in our Mini Catalogue in April. I cant wait to share them with you......watch this space.

I hope to post those photos this weekend.

Love El x

Gift card bags

I was inspired at a recent Team meeting by a bag card that Elizabeth (another one not me!) had recieved in a swap at Convention. Sorry I cant tell you who made the original one on the collage (one with the purple flowers) But the wonderfully talented Elizabeth then adapted this using another stamp set - For Everything stamp set and the foliage from the two step bird punch. She then added a section for a gift card.

A customer approached just before Christmas and asked me for a SU gift card for her daughter so I remembered this idea and made a Christmas version. I decided to make it using a now retired stamp set and included a SU gift voucher.

They are fun to make and I hope to be making a variation at one of my Stamp Clubs this year.

Christmas presents.......

Here are some presents my daughter made her friends. We stamped an image on SU Shrinky dink sheets with Stayzon. Then coloured the images and cut them out. We punched a hole in the cut out and then held it open with a needle while we shrunk them using the heat gun.

Then made them up with beads and a mobile phone clip.

Great for friends.

A few last minute Christmas cards....

Simple cards. Using retired stamp sets - stamped in Real Red on the decorations and embossed with silver powder on the wording. The second card edged with Old Olive paper.
